Are you an SJAA member?
Only SJAA members are eligible to receive grant funding! If you’re not a member and wish to apply, you can sign up at www.sjaa.org.au/become-a-member. We will accept applications from non-members, as long as they are accompanied by a commitment to join the SJAA within two weeks of the grant submission deadline.
Which grant are you applying for?
What is the story pitch OR travel and professional development opportunity? (No more than 400 words)
How will this grant help you to make this story happen OR what do you hope to get out of this professional development opportunity? (No more than 250 words)
Who are you planning or hoping to interview (can be names or simply the type of individual/scientist). If you are applying for the travel or professional development grant, just write ‘N/A’.
What are the outlets that you aspire to get the work published in or broadcast through? Those applying for travel grants or professional development grants can write ‘N/A’
Please provide details of how much money you are seeking (up to $2000, except for the Australian Skeptics Grant, which is $2500), and an estimate of what it will be spent on.
